LEXINGTON - Wiser, Hemlepp & Associates received recognition for four projects completed in 2004 during the Thoroughbred Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America's annual awards dinner on May 11.
The company received a first place award for Fresh Air, a magazine produced for Rockcastle Hospital and Respiratory Care Center, which focuses on care and treatment of long-term care ventilator patients. Magazine design was created by Gilbert Design and photography was by Jeff Rogers Photography.
A second place award was presented for the company's total campaign for the Central Kentucky Blood Center (CKBC). The campaign, created to raise awareness of CKBC's service area, funding sources and facility needs, included advertising, publicity, an educational exhibit and special events. The campaign concluded with awards dinners in three cities featuring Barbara Mandrell telling the story of her auto accident and the role blood transfusions played in her life. AT Design & Illustration, idezign and Moran Video Productions were partners in the project as well as event manager Karla Darnall and event assistant Pat Gill.
Two third place awards were presented to the company. One was for a recruitment poster for Eastern Kentucky University's College of Justice & Safety. The other was in the annual report division and was for the 2003 annual report created for Ramey-Estep Homes in northeastern Kentucky. Both were designed by Noe Design.
