Lexington Firm Wins Two Top Awards in Multi-State Competition

LEXINGTON - Wiser, Hemlepp & Associates received two first place awards in the Public Relations Society of America's East Central District Diamond Awards competition. PRSA's East Central District includes Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Michigan.

Fresh Air, a magazine created for Rockcastle Hospital and Respiratory Care Center, Inc., received first place in Community Relations Tactics. The four-color magazine highlights success stories of long-term care ventilator patients and their caregivers. Design associate for the magazine was Gilbert Design and photography associate was Jeff Rogers Photography.

Celebrate Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness, an awareness campaign created for Central Kentucky Blood Center, won best Community Relations Campaign. The project included a series of events in multiple cities where CKBC has donor centers and featured Barbara Mandrell speaking at awards dinners in Lexington, Somerset and Prestonsburg.

Associates contributing to this project were Rocky Zornes of idezign, Andrea Robinson of AT Design and Illustration, event manager Karla Darnall and event assistant Pat Gill.
